Three cities, done properly
- Seoul
South Korea How Seoul's stay districts differ: Myeongdong for a first trip, Hongdae for nightlife, Gangnam for business, Jamsil for families, Seoul Station for early departures.
- Da Nang
Vietnam My Khe, Non Nuoc or the city west of the Han River — which Da Nang area fits resort days with children, evenings out on foot, a Hoi An side trip, or one night between flights.
- Rome
Italy Rome does not have one centre. Termini, the Pantheon, the Vatican and the Colosseum sit 2–4.5km apart, and which one you can walk to is what an area actually decides.

Guides that settle one question
- Seoul and the Airport
Where you sleep in Seoul changes the airport run by 15km. Hongdae is 43.1km from Incheon and Jamsil 58.3km — and the railway, not the distance, is what actually decides it.
- Da Nang Where to Stay on My Khe Beach
Five My Khe Beach hotels sorted by trip: resorts built on the sand, two-bedroom suites for families who need separate rooms, self-catering, and the north end for city evenings.
- Rome Hotels Near Roma Termini
Seven hotels beside Rome's station compared. All within 640m of the platforms, all 3.4km or more from St Peter's — and the closer to the train, the further from the old city.
- Jeju Without a Car
Renting on Jeju needs an International Driving Permit arranged before you fly. Without one, only two of the island's seven stay areas hold up — and the bus terminal decides which.
- Busan Haeundae Hotels
Six Haeundae hotels compared. The beach runs from 50m to 1.1km — a 22-fold spread — and the order for the subway station is almost exactly reversed.
- Hanoi Where to Stay in Hoan Kiem
To stay by Hoan Kiem Lake and the Old Quarter night market: six hotels 140–630m from the lake. The catch is the airport — 42–44 minutes to Noi Bai.
HOW WE WORK
How we choose the stays on this site
Rather than listing hotels, we start with which area you should be in. Two hotels in the same city can produce completely different trips depending on where they sit.
How we verifyThe full method
Rather than listing hotels, we start with which area you should be in. Two hotels in the same city can produce completely different trips depending on where they sit.
What we check for every property:
- Straight-line distances to airports and stations — numbers, not the word “close”. Every distance is the gap between two points on a map, not the route you walk or drive, and we add a travel time only when we have confirmed it from the airport or the operator
- Distance to the things you came for — also straight-line. We do not call a place walkable on distance alone; we say so only where something we can cite, such as guest reviews, backs it up
- Room configurations — whether your party actually fits, especially above two people
- What guests raise repeatedly — we use a point only when several reviews say the same thing
- Facilities and rate conditions — things like child age policies that you need to know upfront
Where the information comes from
Property details come from the data Agoda provides to its partners — the property listing, nearby distances, facilities and guest reviews. Where sources disagree or a figure needs checking, we cross-check the hotel’s own site. Each guide shows the date those facts were checked.
We have not stayed at these properties ourselves. These are researched guides built from booking-source data and guest reviews, and we do not write them as though we had visited. Where a number or a detail is not confirmed, we say so and point you to the booking screen rather than guessing.
We do not publish live rates. Prices move constantly with dates and occupancy, so instead of quoting a figure or claiming a “lowest price”, we send you to check the current rate directly.
Affiliate disclosure
Hotel links on this site are Agoda and Trip.com affiliate links. Every hotel page links to Agoda, and a Trip.com link appears only where we have confirmed it lists the same property. Local-experience links on city guides are GetYourGuide affiliate links. If you book a stay or an activity through one of these links, we may earn a commission from the seller you booked with. This does not change the price you pay, and there is no extra cost to you.
Commission does not buy a better write-up. Where a property has drawbacks, we list them as drawbacks.
Our affiliate disclosure sets out, seller by seller, when a commission is actually earned.
