510m and 1,100m is a seven-minute difference on foot, and the location scores cluster between 9.1 and 9.6. Trying to choose on distance here gets you nowhere.

The evening decides it

The four stand along the Han River from north to south — cathedral, swing bridge, Dragon Bridge — and that sets where you walk after dark.

• To walk between the cathedral and the market, Satya Da Nang Han Market. Da Nang Cathedral — the pink church — is 70m away, and reviews repeatedly put Han Market at under a five-minute walk. Every listed room type carries a balcony
• To watch the Dragon Bridge fire show from a rooftop, Brilliant or Vanda Hotel. Both have top-floor bars from which reviews describe seeing it. Brilliant is 110m from the swing bridge with 13,381 reviews, the largest sample here; Vanda is 470m from the Dragon Bridge and scores 9.0 overall, the highest in the centre
• To have local streets at your back, Vanda. Reviews describe a run of local restaurants behind the hotel and taxis easy to find

Where the room name matters

Brilliant Hotel Danang lists a Standard Double Room with no view. The rest carry riverfront or river-view labels — so in a hotel you book for the river, the no-view type sits at the lowest price. On a results page that parenthesis is easy to skip.

Vanda Hotel lists only two room types, a Grand Suite and a Family Junior Suite, so the name tells you nothing about the view. One guest booked a Dragon Bridge view and was given a side-facing room, so confirm the view condition on the booking screen.

By contrast Satya attaches a balcony to every listed type, so that trap does not exist there.

The airport is 2.4–3.3km — another reason to choose the centre

All four are around ten minutes from the airport by road, against 4.4–4.9km straight-line from the My Khe properties. Vanda is closest at 2.4km, about nine minutes.

That makes a single night in the centre on arrival or departure day workable. Reviews mention an easy check-in after a 9pm arrival and luggage held until an airport transfer.

When the centre is the wrong choice

If the sea is the point, the centre does not deliver it. None of the four is on a beach, and the pools are generally small.
