Non Nuoc Beach, Da Nang: Sand at the Door, City by Car

Facts checked: 2026-08-10

Choosing between the three Non Nuoc Beach resorts in Da Nang. Han Market is 7.8km at the closest, so evenings mean a car — in exchange the sand starts at the property line.

Non Nuoc is the beach that continues where the My Khe strip ends. Listings file both under “Da Nang beach resort,” but one number separates them: distance to town.

The My Khe strip sits 2.8–4.6km from Han Market. On Non Nuoc, the closest property is 7.8km out. That is far enough that going into the city for dinner stops being a spontaneous decision and becomes a planned round trip by car, every time.

What you get in return is sand that starts at the property line, larger grounds, fewer people — and the Marble Mountains, which no My Khe property can offer.

When Non Nuoc works, and when it does not

Three cases where it works.

First, trips spent mostly on the property. If the day runs pool, beach, dinner on site, then 7.8km to Han Market is a number you never spend. Several reviews describe the distance from town as the point rather than the drawback.

Second, when the Marble Mountains are central to the trip. From My Khe they cost half a day; from here they are 640m to 3.9km away.

Third, itineraries that use Hoi An more than once. The southern end of Non Nuoc sits between Da Nang and Hoi An, so the driving does not all run in one direction.

Where it fails is equally clear: evenings planned around city restaurants and night markets; short trips where transfer time is a large share of the total; and anyone who wants to walk out to shops and food. Reviews at all three properties mention how little there is immediately outside the gate.

How the three differ

Same stretch, different answers. The variables are distance to the Marble Mountains, airport time, and what the rooms actually are.

  • Closest to town — Hyatt Regency Danang, at 7.8km from Han Market and 20 minutes from the airport, with the Marble Mountains at 1.1km. Its defining inventory is one-to-three-bedroom residences with a living room and kitchen, which keeps a large group in a single unit.
  • For walking to the Marble Mountains — Melia Danang Beach is 640m from them. At 420 rooms it runs a separate kids club and children’s pool. The cost is 9.3km to Han Market and 23 minutes to the airport.
  • For not leaving the resort at all — Naman Retreat writes spa treatment into the pool villa room names. It is also the furthest out: 26 minutes to the airport, 13.6km to the railway station, and 3.9km to the Marble Mountains.

Beach distance is not a deciding variable here. All three sit 200–360m from Non Nuoc Beach with their own frontage. On the My Khe strip, whether a property had private sand split north from south; on Non Nuoc that condition is uniform, so it drops out of the comparison.

What actually changes versus My Khe

In one line: where dinner happens.

The My Khe strip lets beach mornings and city evenings share a day. Non Nuoc gives that up and takes grounds and frontage instead. Agoda’s location scores show the swap plainly — 9.1–9.3 along My Khe against 8.5, 8.1 and 8.0 for the three properties here. Read that as “scored against city access” rather than as a verdict on the location itself.

Airport time does not separate them either. All three fall between 20 and 26 minutes, which is longer than My Khe’s 11–18 but not a difference that decides a booking on its own.

To weigh the coast further north alongside these, Where to Stay on My Khe Beach sets out that stretch. For four or more in a single unit, Da Nang family rooms collects the occupancy conditions.

What goes on this list

  • Verified distances and travel times to Han Market, the railway station and the airport
  • Distance to the Marble Mountains — one of the reasons to choose this stretch, so it gets its own line
  • Realistic room configurations by party size, including how bathrooms divide
  • Points that recur across guest reviews

Distances come from Agoda property data, and the date each was checked is on the individual hotel pages. These are research notes gathered before booking, not write-ups of stays.
