Sheraton Phu Quoc Long Beach
The single most useful fact about this resort is that it is not where its name suggests. It sits on the Bai Dai coast at the island's northern tip — 750m from the VinWonders aquarium and 4.5km from the safari, but 25.3km from the airport and roughly 27km from town. Agoda's location score of 8.3 sits below the 8.8 overall, which is exactly what that geography produces. Right for a theme-park trip, wrong for anything southern.

Location & getting around — the name says Long Beach, the map says north
Start with the correction. The name contains “Long Beach”, but the resort is not on Long Beach. It sits on the Bai Dai coast in the Ganh Dau area at the northern tip of the island, listed at around 27km from town, with the airport 25.3km straight-line away and a drive of roughly 45 minutes. The southern Long Beach resorts are 4 to 6km from that same airport. These are not neighbours.
What is close tells you the real story: 750m to the VinWonders aquarium, 4.5km to the Vinpearl safari, 4km to Vung Bau Beach and 770m to an international hospital. This is the theme-park corner of the island, a short hop from the Vinpearl resort.
Everything else is far. The nearest listed transport node is the Hon Thom cable car at 38.5km — effectively the other end of Phu Quoc. That is why Agoda’s location score of 8.3 runs below the 8.8 overall, the only property in our Phu Quoc set where location is the weakest component. Within the north, though, reviews describe free resort shuttles to VinWonders and Grand World, with the Grand World service running hourly according to one account.
Rooms & occupancy — Deluxe guest rooms up to four-bedroom pool villas
Built in 2022 and renovated in 2023. Check-in is 3pm, check-out noon.
The base category is the Deluxe Guest Room — one king or two twins, garden or ocean view, with a balcony — stepping up to a Senior Suite Ocean, a one-bedroom suite with a king and ocean view. Family options run wide: a two-bedroom family room with a king in one bedroom and two twins in the other, a three-bedroom garden-view villa where one bedroom holds a king plus twins, and a four-bedroom garden-view villa with a private pool. Floor areas are not published, so check them at booking.
Rates are quoted for everyone in the room or villa, so enter the children too; an extra bed is 500,000 VND plus tax and service per person per night. Booking records and reviews include a family of four with secondary-school children, and a group taking two three-bedroom villas together. Above about six people, the villas usually work out more sensibly than a stack of rooms.
Two things to weigh. Reviews mention loud wind through the window frames of ocean-view rooms on breezy days, and rusty water from the shower, with one review suggesting bringing replacement filters. One villa was described as musty. The same set of reviews rates room size and cleanliness highly.

Facilities — outdoor pool, private beach, spa and gym
There is an outdoor pool, beach frontage, a spa, a gym, restaurants and bars, gardens, a shop and function rooms. The property lists the beach at 100m, currency exchange and an airport transfer service.
The pool and the beach carry the property. Reviews describe the pool as large and uncrowded, the beach as quiet with calm water, and the sea as clearer than in the south. This is the west coast, so sunset happens over the water — several reviews say the easiest place to watch it was from the resort itself. One review describes being taken by boat toward the neighbouring Vinpearl side and returning by buggy.
Dining is split across outlets. Reviews mention an Italian restaurant open until 11pm, which saved a late arrival, separate Korean and Vietnamese restaurants, and a breakfast buffet that held up across a four-day stay. If your rate excludes breakfast, an adult surcharge of 499,500 VND is published.
Budget for eating in. One review puts the evening dinner buffet at close to a million dong per person. With nothing walkable outside the gate, meals default to the property, and over several nights that becomes a real line in the total. Indoor facilities draw praise — the gym, a pool table and table tennis — while one review notes Netflix is not supported.

Best for
- Two or more days at VinWonders, the safari and Grand World
- Large groups needing three- or four-bedroom pool villas
- Swimming and sunsets from the property — this is a west-facing coast
Not ideal if
- The Duong Dong night market or the southern cable car anchor your itinerary
- You have a tight arrival or departure — the airport is 25.3km, listed at around 45 minutes
- Wind noise bothers you: reviews mention it through ocean-view window frames
Compared & alternatives — within the north, and whether the north is right
In the same corner, Vinpearl Resort & Spa Phu Quoc sits 860m from the aquarium and 4.7km from the safari — essentially the same distances. What differs is character: Vinpearl runs on 636 rooms and a free shuttle network through the theme-park complex, while this one offers a 2022 building and three- and four-bedroom pool villas. Pick Vinpearl for park access, this for room condition and villa layouts.
If anything southern is on the itinerary, the north is the wrong base. JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay is 2.4km from the cable car and InterContinental Phu Quoc Long Beach is 5.9km from the airport. To have somewhere to walk to after dark, Seashells Phu Quoc sits 230m from the night market.
How the five areas differ on airport distance, walkability and beach orientation is set out in Where to Stay in Phu Quoc.
Bottom line — book the coordinates, not the name
750m to VinWonders and 25.3km to the airport in the same sentence is the whole proposition. For two or more theme-park days it minimises driving, and the three- and four-bedroom villas handle group sizes that most of this island’s hotels cannot.
If the night market and the cable car are also on your list, every one of those days crosses the island lengthways. The words “Long Beach” in the name tell you nothing about where you will wake up — read the distances instead.
FAQ
Is it actually on Long Beach?
No. It sits on the Bai Dai coast at the northern tip, roughly 27km from town. The southern Long Beach resorts are 4 to 6km from the airport; this one is 25.3km. Booking it on the strength of the name would put you at the wrong end of the island.
How do you get to VinWonders and the safari?
The aquarium is 750m away and the safari 4.5km. Reviews repeatedly describe free resort shuttles to VinWonders and Grand World, with the Grand World service running hourly according to one review. Confirm current timings when you book.
Can a large family stay together?
Three- and four-bedroom garden-view villas come with a private pool, and booking records show one villa layout with a king in one bedroom and a king plus twins in another. A two-bedroom family room also exists. Rates are quoted for everyone in the room or villa, an extra bed is 500,000 VND plus tax and service per person per night, and children need a birth certificate at check-in.
What are the beach and sunsets like?
The beach is listed at 100m. Reviews describe calm water, clean sea and better clarity than the southern beaches, and repeatedly mention watching sunset from the resort. This is the west coast, so the sun sets over the water — unlike Khem Beach, which faces southeast.

Other stays in this city
- Seashells Phu Quoc
230m to the night market, 120m to Duong Dong market. On an island where almost every hotel needs a car for dinner, this one does not — but the beach in front is short.
- JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay
The closest of these five to the cable car, and the highest-rated for service. It also faces south-east, so the sun does not set over the water here.
- Vinpearl Resort & Spa Phu Quoc
Inside the northern complex, with a free shuttle linking the parks. If the parks are the trip, nothing shortens the day more — but the airport is 25.3km away.
- InterContinental Phu Quoc Long Beach
The shortest airport transfer of the five areas, and ocean-view residences with two or three bedrooms. What you give up is the ability to walk anywhere at all.
