Bel Marina Hoi An Resort
At 430m from the night market and 530m from the Japanese Covered Bridge, this is the closest of the three walkable properties on our Hoi An list. Two pools and 202 rooms mean the days can happen on site and the evenings on foot. The variable is which wing you land in — the resort is large and reviews describe it as easy to get lost in.

Location & getting around — 430m to the night market
The resort is on Nguyen Phuc Tan, on the An Hoi side of the Thu Bon river where the night market sets up. The night market is 430m away and the Japanese Covered Bridge 530m. The Sa Huynh Culture Museum and Cantonese Assembly Hall are both 560m, which puts most of the Old Town’s headline sights inside a 500m radius. The location score of 9.5 is the highest on our Hoi An list.
Practicalities are close too: a clinic at 390m, a convenience store at 620m and the Hoi An bus terminal at 1.4km. The nearest ATM is further out at 1.5km. Da Nang International Airport is 24.1km straight-line, listed at about 49 minutes by car.
The trade-off is what “walkable” means after dark. Being 430m from the night market also means sleeping beside the busiest evening stretch in town. Reviews describe the resort as quiet despite the location, but the site is large and the experience clearly varies by room position. If you sleep lightly, request a quiet floor at the time of booking.
Rooms & occupancy — Connecting Family Room and Family Garden View
The resort opened in 2016 and was renovated in 2022. There are 202 rooms. Check-in is 3pm and check-out is noon.
There are a lot of grades. Deluxe Balcony (River View), Deluxe City View Balcony and Deluxe Balcony Pool View sit at the base, then Premier Deluxe River/Garden/City View rooms, then Premier City View Junior Suite, Premier River View Junior Suite, Marina Double Suite and Premium Suite. For larger groups the realistic types are Deluxe Connecting Room, Connecting Family Room and Family Garden View.
Guest records show Deluxe Balcony Pool View, Premier Deluxe River View and Family Garden View in frequent use. Reviews describe five people staying in a connecting room with one extra bed, and one mentions bunk beds. Children up to 5 stay free; ages 6 to 11 are 450,000 VND per child per night, breakfast included. Families with children rate the resort 9.2.
Read the room name to the end. The grade list includes a type literally labelled “Deluxe (with window)”, which tells you how much a couple of words can change. Reviews also split the property into an older and a newer wing — rooms in the newer wing are described as smarter, while the breakfast room in the older wing gets the better atmosphere. One review notes a river-view room did not deliver the view expected.

Facilities — a ground-level pool and a rooftop infinity pool
There is a pool, a spa, a sauna and steam room, a garden, a restaurant, a lounge bar, a fitness centre, a business centre, a kids’ area with playground and function rooms. The gym and parking are listed as free. Breakfast is a buffet.
What reviews return to:
- There are two pools. A main pool at ground level and a rooftop infinity pool. The rooftop view gets the most mentions, and guests note it is quieter at night.
- The ground-level pool has a deep section. Reviews mention children enjoying it and, separately, advise supervision. A toddler pool is also mentioned.
- The spa and massage draw consistent praise, with several reviews noting the convenience of not having to leave the property.
- Bicycle hire and a shuttle to An Bang Beach both come up in reviews, but frequency and cost are described inconsistently, so confirm them when you book.
Two things to weigh. Reviews repeatedly describe the site as large and confusing to navigate, which matters with luggage or small children — ask about the layout at check-in. And in hot weather the ground-level pool was described as warm, with one review noting the water quality was not ideal.

Best for
- Families who want to cut travel time down to a walk
- Splitting the day between a pool and the Old Town after dark
- Anyone who rates location above quiet — the location score is 9.5
Not ideal if
- Your days are going to be spent on the beach rather than in town
- Walking a large site with luggage or small children is a problem
- You arrive early and need the room — check-in is 3pm
Compared & alternatives — beside the shops or a block back
Walking distance is not one thing here. This resort is the option closest to the shopping, while Little Riverside Hoi An sits 1.1km from the night market and trades that for a quiet evening. Hoi An Historic Hotel is inside the old quarter itself in a 1990 building, which is a different proposition again.
If the days are going to be spent on the sand, change area rather than hotel. Palm Garden Beach Resort is 140m from Cua Dai Beach but 4.6km from the night market.
The three walkable properties are compared in Hoi An Ancient Town: staying inside walking distance, and the beach areas are covered in Where to Stay in Hoi An.
Bottom line — the shortest walk on this list
430m to the night market plus two pools is the whole case. Rooftop swim in the afternoon, walk out to the lanterns in the evening, walk back. If that is the shape of your day, nothing else here gets closer, and 15,719 reviews at a 9.5 location score support it.
Against that, a large site with confusing wayfinding and a 3pm check-in are real friction points, and if the beach is the point of the trip this is the wrong side of town.

Other stays in this city
- Palm Garden Beach Resort Hoi An
140m to Cua Dai Beach, 4.6km to the night market. The days finish on a private beach and in a garden; every evening in the Old Town is a car ride. Villas run to three bedrooms.
- Hoi An Historic Hotel
Phuc Kien Assembly Hall 300m, Hoi An Ancient Town 430m, night market 690m. Nothing else on this list is further inside the old quarter. The question is whether the building's age shows where it matters to you.
- Little Riverside Hoi An
Central Market is 500m, the night market 1.1km. Close enough to walk after dark, far enough that you will feel the return leg. In exchange you get 42 suites and a quiet stretch of river.
- Allegro Hoi An
Three hundred and fifty metres to the Japanese Covered Bridge, 480m to the night market, and an entry room of 47sqm. Walkable hotels usually shrink the room to buy the address — this one does not.
